The advent of the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) standard from the OMG in 2006 has pivoted systems engineering practice and aligned both techniques and modeling tools. Pathfinder Solutions distilled the core modeling principles that had been validated over it's first decade of existence into the Fundamentals of Systems Modeling course. Introduced in 2007, this class is specifically focused for systems engineering teams getting started with systems modeling and SysML. Designed as a "first step", this course is delivers the foundation techniques and disciplines essential to gain true value from SysML. The Pathfinder Solutions Systems Modeling division was formed in 2008 with this course as the heart of its service palette.
